6.Installation

TOOLS REQUIRED

⑴Using the screws,fix the joists on the ground.

To ensure the proper installation, it is important to maintain a maximum spacing of 400mm between the joists. Additionally, securing them to the concrete using expansion screws is essential, with a recommended distance of 30-40cm. Remember to adhere to these guidelines for optimum results.

To achieve a straight installation, secure the first decking onto the joists using screws as shown in the picture below. Once the installation is complete, you can remove the screws from the first decking.

To properly install your decking, it’s important to use hidden clips and screws to secure it in place. One hidden clip and screw should be installed at each joist, ensuring that the clip is fully in contact with the groove on the inside of the decking. It’s also crucial to ensure that the screw holds the clip down tightly to the joist for maximum stability. This method of installation helps to create a smooth, seamless appearance and ensures that your decking is securely attached to the joists beneath it.

To avoid any damage to the joists, it's important to pre-drill when fixing the starting or connecting clips of WPC products. Due to their high density, using a 2.5mm drill bit is recommended. This will prevent any cracking or breaking that could occur if the clips were installed without pre-drilling. Taking this precaution will ensure that your WPC products are securely installed and will last for a long time.

Once the final decking is installed, it is important to correctly position the edge bands on both sides, following the provided illustration.

When it comes to weather conditions, the expansion rate of WPC products typically falls between 0.3% to 0.5%. As a result of this expansion rate, it's necessary to maintain a gap between two WPC products at all times.

In order to accommodate the expansion of deck boards, it is important to have a sufficient distance of at least 30mm from walls or any other obstacles. This will prevent any buckling or warping of the deck boards and ensure their longevity. So, if you want to ensure the durability of your deck, make sure to leave enough space for expansion during installation.

● Allow at least a 10mm gap on butt joints.
